Consumer Notice: These Terms set out the legal agreement between you and AppStudio Desk. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1. Introduction & Trader Information

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of all browser extensions, Google Workspace add-ons, and associated software published by AppStudio Desk ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Permitted Use & Software Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use our software for personal and commercial productivity purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to unlawfully copy, modify, distribute, resell, or exploit our software, nor attempt to disrupt the integrity or security of our services, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. User Content & Data Ownership

You retain 100% ownership of your content. All text, spreadsheets, documents, web pages, and datasets that you process, format, or view using AppStudio Desk tools remain entirely your property.

Our tools operate on a privacy-first, client-side architecture. Your document content and spreadsheet data are processed locally within your browser or active Google Workspace document. We do not copy, transmit, or store your private document content on external servers.

4. Pro Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellations

Certain software tools offer optional "Pro" tier features available as one-off purchases or recurring subscriptions.

Secure Payment Processing: Payments, card data, and subscription renewals are managed securely through our authorized payment processors, ExtensionPay and Stripe. AppStudio Desk never sees or stores your full payment card details.
Subscription Renewals: Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the frequency stated at checkout (monthly or annually) until cancelled.
How to Cancel: You may cancel your subscription at any time with one click via the extension settings panel or by emailing [email protected]. Upon cancellation, your Pro access remains active until the end of your prepaid billing period with no further charges.

5. Statutory Cancellation Rights & Refunds (UK & EU Consumers)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and equivalent EU regulations, consumers generally have a 14-day statutory right to cancel digital purchases.

Immediate Digital Delivery & Waiver: When purchasing Pro digital content and requesting immediate access, you expressly acknowledge and agree that your 14-day statutory right to cancel is waived once digital access is activated.
Consumer Rights Act 2015: Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If software supplied by AppStudio Desk is faulty, defective, or does not function as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or full refund upon contacting support.

6. Data Protection & Third-Party Processors

We respect your privacy. Our processing of personal information (such as your account email for Pro license verification) is governed by our Privacy Policy. We integrate solely with established service providers necessary for operation:

Google LLC: Provider of the Chrome Web Store and Google Workspace Marketplace runtime environments.
Stripe & ExtensionPay: Secure billing and licence authorization infrastructure.

7. Warranties & Statutory Guarantees

While we make every reasonable effort to ensure high reliability and continuous operation, the software is provided on an "as-available" basis.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory consumer rights that you cannot waive under UK consumer protection laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms, their subject matter, and their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Both you and AppStudio Desk agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
